Blake ~ ADOPTED

Yes

*required

My name is Blake, and my foster mom says I am the best foster, ever!

I am 3 years old and about 35 pounds. My foster mom also says that I am quite handsome with my salt-and-pepper face. She says it is called "blue merle." She says my one blue eye makes me look kind of mysterious, too.

I am learning how to be a brave, happy boy. I am timid around new people, but once I learn that I can trust you, you can be my bestest friend.

I love snuggling and getting pats..and earning treats! I try to do anything to please my foster parents. I like making them smile.

I don't play with a lot of toys, but I recently learned that some toys can be pretty fun. My foster sister, Genny, taught me to tug gently with her. I haven't been bold enough to play with other dogs, but I do like being out in the yard or house with them. I do not join in, but I do follow them sometimes.

My ideal home would be a home with a fence and adult people who can be patient with helping me to trust the world around me. In my foster home there are other border collies and some small dogs, too. I do fine with all of them. My foster mom isn't sure how I would be around cats, as I haven't met any since coming into rescue and my history with them isn't known.

I can live as an only dog or as one of a family of dogs -- but don't expect me to be their play-buddy right away. I am still learning about playing with others. Right now I am a people focused boy.

My foster mom says I am well worth the effort to help me to trust you!
