Declan ~ ADOPTED

Yes

recommended

I am Declan and I am a very sweet boy! I was born on Valentine's day and I am now 2 years old. Just like Cupid, I am a small boy. I hover around 32 pounds. I love to snuggle and I am generous with my kisses.

I think the other border collies in my foster home are funny and I play ball with them outside. I love to run and jump and chase the others. I went to the beach with some border collie friends and it was so much fun meeting the other dogs. We ran and chased and played. I am quite athletic!

I am generally a happy boy, but I am not so sure about the small dogs in my foster home. They jump around so fast that it sometimes makes me worried...and in my first foster home I was quite interested in the kitty – too interested! So my perfect furever home would not have any kitties or small dogs or children that move fast.

And speaking of fast...have you ever noticed how fast cars can go? I notice the cars and like to chase up and down the fence when they go by, so a hard fence is needed for me to be safe. I even notice them when I am going for a ride. I am getting better about the cars and can be redirected pretty easily, but I am still learning.

I am actually a timid boy. I love people and other dogs, but I am not very confident and need some support in new situations. And if I get scared I feel I need space, so I try to flee. This is another reason why I need a hard fence.

I am looking for someone to snuggle and love. Are YOU my that person?
