New England Border Collie Rescue - Helping Border Collies in Need

All Finn wants for Christmas is his forever home. Finn was born 4/9/16. He was sold to a family with several small children and they were not familiar with the breed. Finn proved to be too much for them. He herded the children and also was not good with the family's cat. He is also not good with other small animals. He was turned in to the Humane Society and spent about a month there before coming in to rescue.

Finn is a good boy for the most part. He does liketo chew on things. He was a bit of a barker when he first came into rescue, but these days he hardly barks except when the doorbell rings. He seems to prefer men over women.

He does not tire out easily. His foster home has been taking him for long walks and playing ball and frisbee with him and he just never seems tired. He is very smart.

Finn is a tri color blue merle. He weighs about 37 lbs. He is tall and has big legs and paws so we are betting he's going to get a bit bigger. He's up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped. He is housetrained.

We have been told that he is crate trained, but apparently only in a wire crate. His foster home has a vari-kennel and he refuses to go into that. Finn does well with other dogs and probably would be most comfortable in a multi dog household.

Finn will not be placed in a household with children. Given his athletic abilities, we think Finn would do best in sports household. Training will be a requirement of his adoptions.

Finn is being fostered in central NH.
