New England Border Collie Rescue - Helping Border Collies in Need

PREFERRED (see below)

Hi, I am Gael. My foster mom says I am a snuggly, fun 7 month old border collie. I like to learn and am very food motivated. Foster mom (FM, for short) hasn't worked with me much on tug or toys 'cuz I had girlie surgery and had to be calm -- so no hard tugging or big chasing has been allowed.

I am still learning about going potty outside, but I am getting the hang of it. Who wants to potty outside in this cold weather any way? BRRRRRRRR!

I love playing wif other dogs, and if they tell me to stop, I listen. Kind of funny thing...my foster sister is actually my auntie -- for reals! And my foster brudders are related, too. All this means is that FM knows where I come from and the special kind of herding dogs they are.

FM says I need to go to a home that wants to stimulate my abilities. So I need to go to a working or performance home. FM took me out to the barn and guess what I saw? I saw sheep! I was very interested in the sheep, but I didn't know what to do. It was icy out so we didn't visit the Misses Baaa's for too long.

Hard fence is preferred, but not necessary for the right family. Families with IF will not be considered. And no little kids...I am still a puppy and I am still learning about being brave all the time.

FM says I am not high drive...more like medium...but again, I have had to be restricted since my spay (whatever dat is), so I am just being allowed to let go.

So, if you want a loving pup to be your partner, send in your application.
