New England Border Collie Rescue - Helping Border Collies in Need

Hawthorne ~ ADOPTED

NOTE: All puppies under 6 months old will require an additional $350 spay/neuter deposit on top of the regular adoption fee. This will be returned to you upon confirmation that the spay/neuter has been done within the agreed upon timeframe.

This little guy is actually a big guy! He is an outgoing and bold male pup. He's very in tune with what is going on around him. He's social and interested in meeting all the visitors who come by and he is super sweet. He seems to be about medium *border collie* activity level - which still means he will be a very active guy, but not really over-the-top.

Hawthorne would flourish in a home looking to enjoy activities with him such as outdoor hikes, playtime, and training - tricks, rally, agility . . . he'd enjoy it all. He has shown no fear on the variety of puppy obstacles in the puppy playpen, playing on the wobbly sled, on the minature A-frame and in the little tunnel with enthusiasm!

Hawthorne's adopters will be required to attend an approved positive reinforcement based puppy kindergarten class with him.

Homes with children and a determination about whether a fence is required will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Hawthorne has been weaned onto a raw diet and is thriving. Our ideal home would be interested in continuing to feed a raw diet to maximize the health and longevity of their new family member. To learn more about feeding a raw diet, take a look here: http://rawlearning.com/rawfaq.html

You can see more photos and video of Hawthorne on THE PUPPY BLOG.

Hawthorne is being fostered in upstate NY.

You must have an approved application on file *BEFORE* inquiring about a particular dog.
