is a wee gal who is as energetic as she is adorable. She
was relinquished to a NYC shelter when her previous owners
moved. Though the shelter reported that Meena was noise
sensitive, her foster home has not found that to be accurate.
She has not reacted to the truck/train/lawn mower sounds,
and only becomes slightly nervous with thunderstorms. It
is more likely that the many stimuli of living in the city
was too overwhelming.
Meena is looking for a home in a more suburban/rural location
where she will have another doggie pal to play ball with.
Her ideal playmate shouldn't mind her assertive overtures

Meena is a finicky eater. She currently weighs about 25
lbs, though her ideal weight should be around 30. The only

new foods + treats is if the other dogs in the house are
excitedly waiting their turn for handouts.
Her repertoire of obedience commands is growing Ü she knows
how to sit + lay down, and her foster home has been working
on leash manners, stay, recall, and teaching her that barking
will not get her what she wants. She can be wary of people
reaching for her collar, so we are associating the hand-reach
with good things (treats, ball tosses).
has met quite a few strangers and a few children. Though
she can be a bit shy on initial meeting, ignoring her or
tossing a ball for her will let her know that you're not
so scary. Dog savvy children over 10 would be fine as long
as the children are aware that Meena may try to grab the
ball from their hands. She is respectful of cats.
Meena is up to date on shots + HW preventative, is microchipped,
and is crate + housetrained. She is being fostered in eastern
