Picabo ~ ADOPTION PENDING

Picabo (pronounced Peek-a-boo) is a 7.5 year old, spayed, female, black and white, split-faced border collie. She is a tiny girl at 31 pounds.

Picabo or "Peek" as her foster family calls her likes nothing better than to be snuggled on your lap for pets. She also enjoys a good game of tug complete with lots of vocals to go along with it.

Peek gets along with other dogs but can be a bit bossy around other females. We find that she is mostly "talk." She has an excellent recall and knows basic commands.

She is a delightful girl who would be a great companion. She is nervous around strangers and will initially bark. She will need continued guidance and lots of good cookies to help her get over her fears of new people. She is better with women but warms up quickly to men as well if they ignore her and just offer cookies without direct eye contact.

We do not know how Picabo is with children and will not place her with young children or where young children visit frequently because of her nervousness with new people.

Picabo is being fostered in eastern upstate New York.
