New England Border Collie Rescue - Helping Border Collies in Need

I am Rhys and I am a good boy...a very good boy. I am still a puppy, sort of. I won't be 2 years old until May, so I am still doing a lot of learning. So far I have lived in lots of homes, but my foster mom tells me it is not my fault...I am a good boy.

I am a big boy, but I am gentle for my size. I love to play with the other rough and tumble dogs in my foster home, but I am also gentle enough to play with the little dogs, too. I used to live on a farm with lots of animals so I am fine with most animals. I have lived with dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, chickens, pigs, cows, and sheep.

I love to play! I love to fetch and chase...and I love balls. I love tennis balls and rubber balls and soccer balls and jolly balls...all kind of balls. I love to be active, but I also love to settle inside. My idea of a great night is snuggling with my family in the living room.

I don't mind kids, but I am a big boy and if I forget and jump up on a small child, I could knock him over, so I probably shouldn't have little ones in my new home.

I am learning manners. I have learned to sit and wait until my people go through doors or gates before I go through them. I walk pretty nicely on a leash. I love to greet people – people are so fun! I am still working on coming when I am called, but I am getting pretty good at it.

Check out this video of me in action!

I really want a family of my own – one that I can live with for a long time. Is that you?
