Samson ~ Adopted

Yes

Samson is one of those dogs that just loves being around his people, playing fetch and hanging out. He's super friendly with everybody he meets and greets people with a wiggle and usually a ball dropped at their feet.

Samson is crate trained and housebroken and is generally a quiet and amicable fellow, but he has the silliest bark/howl when he knows you're going to do something fun without him (hint: bring him along!). He rides fantastically in the car and walks great on leash with an easy walk harness. As far as training, he needs a refresher on the basics, but his recall is excellent (again, just wants to be with you) and has a Sit and Down and "Kennel" command.

Samson is curious but respectful of the cats in his foster home, but they are very dog savvy.

With the three dogs in his foster home, Samson is slower to warm. He doesn't mind dogs that ignore him, but when dogs get in his face or too close, Samson will let them know to back off. He's quickly called off from this, but I wouldn't trust him alone loose with other dogs at this point. He would likely do best in a single dog family, or at least with another more mature dog who won't bother him. Families looking for a dog to play with an existing dog should probably look elsewhere.

Samson is a bit overweight right now, and should probably weigh about 40lbs. He is being fed a high quality Grain Free kibble to help bring his weight back down.

If you're looking for a great, fun and friendly Border Collie to join your family, you should definitely consider meeting Samson!

Samson is being fostered in southern ME.
