Sawyer ~ ADOPTED

Please allow us to introduce Sawyer!

This guy has rock star potential written all over him, just as soon as he finds a home willing to work through some of his adolescent naughtiness.

Sawyer is a year old. He has successfully completed basic obedience and is working on recall in his foster home. He comes reliably with his foster siblings, but not when he's on his own.

He loves learning! So far, he has learned that it's fun to live with other dogs, especially those that LOVE to play and play and play. Sawyer is learning not to be so frightened of implements of cleaning, such as the dishwasher, broom, vacuum, etc. Treats are magical and make all these processes so much easier—Sawyer loves his treats!

He also loves all people, but because he's still working on not being mouthy, he will not be placed in a home with small children. Sawyer has only been with us a short time and is slowly becoming better with the cat, therefore we think he'd be fine living with a dog-savvy feline friend.

Sawyer's ideal home would be with active human companions in a rural setting away from the road. A fenced-in area for continuation of recall training in a safe environment is a requirement. It does not need to be a fortress, as Sawyer is respectful of his boundaries.

He really seems to enjoy following the lead of the dogs here and we think a home with another well-behaved, energetic fluff-ball or two would be his idea of perfection.

Sawyer is being fostered in New Hampshire.
