Sunny ~ UPDATE

This dog is available under our Seniors for Seniors program.

Sunny is a 9 year old Border Collie who currently weighs about 64 lbs. She should weigh a bit less still and is on low calorie food.

Sunny loves her food but does not counter surf or beg for table scraps. She has excellent house manners and would love nothing more than a loving owner who will let her curl up nearby for some petting.

Sunny does not need to be crated but is willing to go into one for meals or at night when she goes to bed.

When her leash comes out of the closet Sunny bounces and gets excited at the prospect of a walk or car ride. She wants an owner who will include her in their daily routine and make her the center of attention. When ignored she does bark sometimes or nudge an arm looking to attention.

Sunny is a strong willed girl who knows what she wants, but she is also very affectionate, obedient and full of personality. Because of her outgoing, demanding personality Sunny needs an experienced adult owner who will not let her take over the house. Sunny willingly backs down when told to but she would not do well in a home with children or people who are not confident leaders.

Sunny has been in her present foster home for almost a year and a half now. She is no longer crated in the house and does fine with the other dogs in her household. If a dominant dog pressures her she rolls on her back and submits. She would be happy as an only dog or with a few dog buddies to share walks with her.

Sunny would make a great companion and really needs to find her own home where she can be someone's special dog. She has been with us for more than a year and would love nothing more than her own home.

Sunny is being fostered in Central Massachusetts and is available under our Seniors for Seniors program.
